<p>Seattle, WA – Strategies 360’s campaigns team, which includes a dedicated division in the Seattle HQ and operatives throughout the firm’s footprint, delivered major election wins during the 2022 general election cycle, resulting in 63 victories and over <strong>$2 billion in new revenues for local communities</strong> across the country.</p>
<p><strong><em>“Our campaigns team leveraged every service S360 offers to deliver an incredible number of winning outcomes this election cycle,”</em></strong> said Ron Dotzauer, Founder and CEO of Strategies 360. <strong><em>“I am proud of the work we did, collaboratively across services and states, to help our candidate and ballot measure clients succeed.”</em></strong></p>
<p>S360 supported candidate and ballot measure clients with a wide variety of services, including general consulting, strategy and planning, polling and research, creative design and collateral, digital marketing, field organizing, fundraising, strategic communications, media relations, and more.</p>
<p><strong>Highlights from the 2022 general election cycle include:</strong></p>

<li>Our campaign fundraising team, led by S360’s Tribal fundraising expert in New Mexico, was proud to support Congresswoman Mary Peltola, the first ever Alaska Native to be elected to Congress, and the re-election of Congresswoman Sharice Davids of Kansas, one of the first Native American women elected to Congress. In Alaska, our teams collaborated closely across multiple states and practice areas with the Alaska Native community to promote Alaska Native voter turnout and registration efforts. This was a critically important year for the Get Out the Native Vote effort, given the challenges of voter access in rural Alaska and the implementation of a new ranked choice voting system.</li>

<li>In Arizona, our team supported major wins at a statewide level including Governor-Elect Katie Hobbs, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, and Attorney General-Elect Kris Mayes. Working with education advocates the team also landed 3 state legislature wins –specifically spearheading efforts to elect State Senator Christine Marsh in the state’s most competitive legislative district, 22 school board posts across 4 counties, and over half a billion dollars for local schools. Impressively, the Arizona team helped clinch the Gubernatorial win with a voter contact strategy that included over 100,000 direct mail pieces, 30,000 doors knocked, hundreds of thousands of calls to voters, and a statewide digital marketing campaign that reached millions of voters in just three weeks.</li>

<li>Another gubernatorial win came out of Hawaii. The S360 team served as the general consultant for newly elected Governor Josh Green through his successful primary and general election. In addition to overseeing campaign strategy, S360 also provided polling and research, strategic communications, creative services, and digital marketing to help deliver a resounding win.</li>

<li>The New Mexico team helped delivered the successful elections of Lt. Governor Howie Morales, Attorney General Elect Raul Torrez, and Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver.</li>

<li>The Oregon team not only won bond and levies totaling $753 million for schools and parks, but they also lead the communications for a ballot measure to formally remove slavery language from Oregon’s constitution. While the state constitution banned slavery, the ban came with a loophole exception as punishment for a crime. S360’s Oregon team successfully helped campaign to amend the state constitution to remove this language.</li>

<li>Washington’s education team oversaw school district informational bond campaigns that secured over $1.2 billion for districts in the state. This team used the full suite of S360 services including public opinion research, communications planning and delivery, mailer and collateral development, and robust digital marketing strategies to reach each district’s community with informational messages that resonated.</li>

<p><strong>Las Vegas, NV</strong> – Strategies 360’s Nevada practice expands with the addition of government relations expert Brett Scolari. With over twenty years of experience, Brett has a proven track record of navigating complex regulatory frameworks through a blend of relationship building, legal knowledge, political savvy, and policy expertise. In his role as Vice President of Government Relations for S360 Nevada, Brett will advocate on behalf of clients to advance their interests in the Nevada Legislature and with key stakeholders at every level of government.</p>
<p><strong><em>“<span class="searchHighlight">Brett</span> is a difference maker with a deep network of relationships and unmatched understanding of the government relations landscape,”</em></strong> said John Oceguera, Executive Vice President of S360 Nevada. <strong><em>“He will be a great asset to our clients here in Nevada and across S360’s footprint.”</em></strong></p>
<p>Brett previously served as General Counsel and Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Tryke Companies where he oversaw their day-to-day legal, regulatory, political and government affairs activities and strategies. As part of Tryke&#8217;s founding Executive Team, he helped guide the company from a start-up to a pioneering 500+ employee organization. With over seven years of direct regulated cannabis experience and previous experience in land use, regulated liquor, gaming and privileged licensing markets, Brett successfully managed the legal and regulatory issues for the company and its multiple licensed operations in the states of Utah, Nevada and Arizona. This included overseeing Tryke’s critically important interactions with government agencies and elected officials in the highly regulated cannabis industry and leading the organization through a recent acquisition.</p>
<p><strong><em>“I am impressed with Brett’s depth and breadth of work in government relations and am excited to welcome him to our industry leading team in Nevada,”</em></strong> said Ron Dotzauer. <strong><em>“He brings experience not only in regulated liquor, gaming, cannabis, and other privileged licensing markets, but also in land use and permitting, as well as clean energy. <p>After earning his law degree from the Santa Clara University, Brett worked in private law practice in Nevada. He began his practice and was mentored at the Nevada based law firm Jones Vargas, focusing on state regulatory, land use, privileged licensing, gaming, taxation, redevelopment, clean energy and many other state and local government issues. Later on in his career he helped build the government affairs practice for Gordon Silver LLP. He also represented the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitor’s Authority for over ten years as its outside general counsel.</p>

The special appearance was thanks to the team’s partnership with Strategies 360 client Bristol Bay Native Corporation. 150 youth took part in the week-long camp, which included training with members of the Seattle Kraken Youth Hockey and Skating Academy coaching staff through multiple sessions. <p>This annual Seattle Kraken camp in Anchorage was part of the multi-year deal S360 helped negotiate between BBNC and the Seattle Kraken. Strategies 360 began exploring partnership opportunities with NHL Seattle in February 2020. For more than a year, we worked on developing a strong relationship to move Bristol Bay Native Corporation towards a partnership that was mutually beneficial to all parties. Once NHL Seattle officially became the Seattle Kraken, the details of that partnership took shape. That included one of the 13 food marketplaces within the new Climate Pledge Arena that serves wild Bristol Bay salmon and Bering Sea cod.</p>

<p>S360 led the <a href="https://www.bbnc.net/kraken/">announcement</a> for the partnership from Anchorage, Alaska on June 15, 2021. With local youth hockey players as the backdrop, Seattle Kraken CEO Tod Lieweke and BBNC CEO Jason Metrokin shared the news with the world. S360 ran media relations, communications, community engagement &amp; digital marketing for the announcement. The event garnered <a href="https://www.anchoragepress.com/bulletin/bristol-bay-native-corporation-announces-major-partnership-with-the-newest-nhl-team-the-seattle-kraken/article_db7d06bc-ce1e-11eb-96f8-4f6459decc33.html">significant media coverage</a> across Alaska.</p>
<p>On September 15, 2021, at an event at Seattle Center, S360 led the announcement for the new <a href="https://bristolbaywildmarket.com/">“Bristol Bay Wild Market”</a> which includes a menu serving Bristol Bay salmon and Bering Sea cod dishes to millions of arena visitors each year. The marketplace is a joint venture with BBNC, Bristol Wild Seafood Company and Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association (BBRSDA). The event coordinated by S360 included Climate Pledge Arena executive chef Molly DeMers, BBNC CEO Jason Metrokin and the infamous Pike Place Market fish tossers.</p>

The S360 design, marketing &amp; communications teams also led the creation of the actual marketplace as well as the messaging/branding for the marketplace and the partnership. S360’s design team created a full brand for the marketplace from scratch. Blending elements of BBNC’s visual identity and brand narrative, the Bristol Bay Wild Market is instantly aligned with the organization while offering a distinct point of view that celebrates the regional food culture. We created a space that not only highlighted the food, but also the people of the Bristol Bay region. Visitors to the marketplace will get the chance to learn about sustainably sourced wild fish while picking up their food.<br />

<p style="font-weight: 400; text-align: left;">In 2022, our goal was to amplify the newly launched brand identity and their campaign to #celebratedifferences within Autism Acceptance Month activities. We developed messaging, multiple press releases, social media content, blog content, sample letters to the editor, and a 16-series email drip campaign for AAM fundraising for all the Autism Society affiliates to use as needed to support on the ground, grassroots fundraising.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">The 2022 Autism Acceptance Month media campaign landed unique earned stories in <a href="https://apple.news/AOtrnzKtgTGaTrpKYU2UwIw">USA Today</a>, <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/jenniferpalumbo/2022/04/18/how-the-great-wolf-lodge-is-encouraging-others-to-support-autism-acceptance/?sh=2913de7c43b5">Forbes</a>, and the <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/warriors/article/How-Warriors-Draymond-Green-Anthony-Ianni-17052524.php">San Francisco Chronicle</a>, among the many other regional and local media outlets sharing hometown stories by working with Autism Society affiliates. Interviews were arranged with sources for Yahoo Finance, Healthline, and multiple local radio and television stations around the country. Some reporters directly used content S360 developed and shared from 2021 and 2022, demonstrating the long-term impact of our communications work.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In total, our work helped secured <strong>nearly 5,000 mentions</strong> for the Autism Society across the country in March and April, and the media placed garnered over <strong>$49.5M in ad value equivalency!  </strong>Importantly for the goals of the Autism Society, their <strong>positive brand sentiment increased 75%</strong>.</p>

From the campaign’s Mid-March launch through the month of April, S360’s digital marketing team ran a lean budget and tailored the campaign to attract specific target demographics in ten media markets. The campaign performed above benchmark for paid search, Facebook, and display ads <strong>generating over 1.6 million impressions driving tens of thousands of new users to the Autism Society website. </strong></p>

From that messaging, we developed press releases, blogs, a fundraising email drip campaign for Giving Tuesday, and social media content. Our work also included outreach to target media markets for placement of the Autism Society’s newly developed PSA.</span></p>

In fact, <strong>since S360 started managing the organization’s digital marketing, calls or emails to the Autism Society’s helpline increased an average of 187%!</strong> With our review of the most effective search terms, S360’s communications and digital marketing team worked together to update creative and drive even more attention to the Autism Society, which helped immensely moving into Autism Acceptance Month.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On May 12, S360 had the great pleasure of hosting Valerie Biden Owens for a talk and book signing of her new bestseller “Growing up Biden: A Memoir.” Mrs. Biden Owens shared some of her fond memories of her childhood and lessons learned, as well as some sage advice for us all.</p>
<p>When asked, “what would you do differently, if you could do this all again,” her reply was “Hire an editor.”</p>
<p>The inspiring and lively conversation also included the value of a thriving Democracy, holding true to your values under pressure, and always remembering your roots. Some special guests included former WA Governor Christine Gregoire and former Congressman Don Bonker. Several staff representatives of the Washington’s federal delegation also came out.</p>
<p>Before the event, our communications team organized a media interview for Mrs. Biden Owens with <a href="applewebdata://4F2E2BA3-D01C-493C-919E-1284736BF4D0/o%09https:/www.kiro7.com/news/local/presidents-sister-visits-seattle-promotes-new-book/3GNZ3Y2SVRFQ5MKSKIURTS3EII">KIRO news</a>, and the story got picked up by <a href="applewebdata://4F2E2BA3-D01C-493C-919E-1284736BF4D0/o%09https:/www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/president-sister-visits-seattle-promotes-042424528.html">Yahoo News</a>! <p><strong>Vancouver, British Columbia</strong> – Craig Keating, who recently completed an eight-year term as President of the BC NDP, has joined Strategies 360 a leading public policy and communications firm with offices in the United States and Canada. As Vice President in the Vancouver office, Keating will lead the establishment of a municipal practice for Strategies 360.</p>
<p>The practice will start with an initial focus on Metro Vancouver where Keating previously served as a board member. His team will support clients through complex zoning, permitting, and regulatory matters at the city and regional level.</p>

<p>From city council to presidential races, Steve has had experience at every size and reach of a campaign. For the last 20 years his main focus has been fundraising. Steve has also focused a lot of his attention on working with leaders in Indian Country to get them engaged politically and build support for his clients with distinct native communities.</p>

<p><strong>Seattle, WA</strong> – Maverick Ryan joins Strategies 360 as the Manager of Public Affairs in the firm’s Seattle-based headquarters. With a background in public engagement, Maverick will help S360 clients conduct meaningful and productive outreach with community stakeholders and local elected officials. He also serves as a Tribal Council Member for the Cowlitz Indian Tribe where he is focused on open government and accountability measures, as well as revamping the Cowlitz Housing Authority.</p>

<p>As Deputy Director of Constituent Services in Governor’s office, Maverick coordinated responses to business questions regarding Safe Start/Healthy Washington guidelines at the peak of the Coronavirus Pandemic. He also coordinated with agencies and policy experts to galvanize the public’s understanding of the Governor’s priorities and collaborated with the Governor’s Washington D.C. office to extend the Governor’s reach and maximize engagement.</p>

<p>Born and raised on the Kitsap Peninsula, Maverick stays committed to the region through board leadership, including serving as a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribal Council and the Board of the Port Orchard Historic Theater Foundation. In his role on the Cowlitz Indian Tribal Council, Maverick negotiates and communicates with federal, state and local governments, as well as consults those government bodies involved in the welfare of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. For the Port Orchard Historic Theater Foundation, Maverick is a part of a group of community stakeholders working to restore a historic community cinema that has been closed for several years.</p>
<p>Maverick got his start in public engagement work with Rural Investment to Protect the Environment, a non-profit working with farmers to develop climate change policies that also protect rural economies. He has also previously served on the Olympic Natural Resource Center’s Advisory Board, where he advised leadership on ways to unite researchers, students, professionals and the general public around forest and ocean management strategies.</p>

With over two decades of political strategy expertise, blended with a deep understanding of major regional industries, Jones will guide policy conversations on behalf of S360 clients and develop solutions that support the Pacific Northwest’s booming and diverse economy.</p>
<p><em><strong>“Travis has a fantastic understanding of how to bridge business and policy at all levels of government,”</strong></em> said Ron Dotzauer, Founder and CEO of Strategies 360.<strong><em> “With his work across the country, clients can expect a partner who knows how to promote their interests in different political and economic atmospheres.”</em></strong></p>
<p>Jones has advised three members of Congress with successful legislative efforts ranging from renewable energy, public land management, two Farm Bills, various water and environmental regulations, appropriations, and surface and maritime transportation policy.</p>
<p>Most recently, Travis led U.S. state and local policy engagement for NIKE, a Fortune 100 company based in Beaverton, Oregon. His role and responsibilities included legislative advocacy, political campaign strategy, ethics and compliance reporting, trade policy, cybersecurity and consumer privacy, corporate taxation, and other key issues across all 50 state legislatures and relevant local jurisdictions.</p>

<p>Originally from a farm and ranch in rural northeastern Oregon, Travis served for nine years as CEO of a statewide association – the Idaho Grain Producers Association &#8211; representing Idaho’s second largest agricultural commodity. In this role, he drove marketing, communications, policy development, advocacy, and regulatory engagement on issues from air quality to commodity price support programs.</p>
<p>Jones holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics, both from the University of Idaho.</p>
