Todd Dvorak

Director of Public and Media Relations, Idaho

Todd brings more than 20 years of experience working in journalism and public relations to the firm. His career began in newspapers before spending 13 years as a reporter and newsroom leader with The Associated Press. For seven years, he supervised the AP bureau in Idaho, leading a team of reporters covering the Idaho Legislature, state government and its various agencies, the environment, state and federal courts, breaking news and NCAA athletics. Todd is a skilled writer and communicator who understands how to break down complex issues into stories and content that are understandable to diverse audiences.

During his time at the AP, Todd developed trusting relationships with reporters, editors and broadcast leaders across the state and region. He understands media, the changing industry landscape and has a proven record of leadership and success in telling stories that have reached audiences across the nation and world.

Todd also served for nearly three years as spokesman for the Office of Idaho Attorney General. In addition to dealing with state, national and international media, Todd was a member of the senior leadership team engaged in legal, media and policy strategy for the office. The experience enhanced his understanding of state government, the legal system and subjects ranging from consumer protection to the complexities of Idaho water issues.

He was also directly involved in the AG’s engagement with constituents and collaborated with subject experts to craft speeches, presentations and media events to explain complex or controversial decisions on criminal cases, civil litigation and consumer enforcement.

Outside the workplace, Todd is an avid fly fisherman who prefers spending nights sleeping under the stars in a tent. He enjoys skiing, running and hiking with his dogs in the Boise Foothills. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Minnesota, where he met his wife, Meg. They were married in 1994 in Livingston, Montana, the home of his first newspaper job.
