Mike brings strong leadership and public affairs expertise coupled with a deep background in sports, entertainment, and events marketing.
Most recently, Live Strategies Group directed and produced the launch of the Tooele County tourism brand and implementation. LSG and its associates also branded and produced the 2018 Utah Solutions Summit, hosted by U.S. Senator Mike Lee, the D.E.A., and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes.
Before co-founding Live Strategies Group, Mike served as Vice President of Development and Events for the Utah Sports Commission, where he helped to secure, promote and produce large sporting events. He simultaneously served as Executive Director of the Governor’s Special Initiatives Office under Governor Huntsman’s administration.
Previously, as Utah’s Deputy Director of Tourism, Mike helped to launch the ‘Life Elevated’ brand and manage a $50 million marketing, advertising and operational campaign. He has also served as Director of Sales for United Concerts where he secured the naming rights for the USANA Amphitheater and was the former Athletic Marketing Director at Brigham Young University, where he helped teams set records in attendance and sponsorship revenue.
Mike also serves on the Pete Suazo Utah Athletic Commission, which regulates boxing and mixed martial arts, and sits on the boards of the Intermountain Volleyball Association, the Days of ’47, the Utah Golf Foundation, and the Governor’s Mansion Artist Series. Mike has a BA from Brigham Young University in Marketing Communications.
