In addition, she worked to advance STEAM and other arts-based curriculum as an instructor and mentor at a prominent performing arts studio in Waipio, Hawaiʻi.
Allicia earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Performing Arts from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, and a master’s degree in Educational Technology and Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. She also graduated from Na Kumu Alaka’i Teacher Leader Academy, a program designed to empower leaders at the school level to bring about research-based change to existing school systems in order to enhance student achievement.
Born and raised on Oʻahu, Allicia passes on her local values and the importance of giving back to her children. She regularly volunteers with local organizations, including the OSPCA and Malama Maunalua, and enjoys exercising and exploring all the natural beauty Hawaiʻi has to offer.
