Leading Education Advocate, Chris Korsmo, Joins S360

Former League of Education Voters CEO will head S360’s education practice

Seattle, WA – Strategies 360 is thrilled to announce that Chris Korsmo, a visionary leader on Washington state education policy, is joining the firm to lead S360’s education advocacy practice.

As CEO of the League of Education Voters, Korsmo brings more than 20 years of successful advocacy work on behalf of students and families – whether in the statehouse or the schoolhouse. In her new position, Korsmo will lead S360’s existing and well-established education portfolio and work to expand this practice across the firm’s footprint.

“Chris Korsmo has spent her career dedicated to improving the lives of students and families and we are thrilled for her to continue that work at Strategies 360,” said Strategies 360 President Karen Waters. “Her unique perspective and strategic approach will help deliver results that expand opportunity from cradle-to-career as S360 grows its education practice across the country.”

Most recently, Korsmo led the League of Education Voters, one of Washington state’s foremost education advocacy groups working to provide every student in the state equal opportunity for success. While at the organization, Korsmo impacted the policy landscape from preschool through post-secondary, grew LEV’s footprint statewide, and boosted the group’s focus at the district and school level to understand how policy impacts student and teachers first hand.

Chris joins Lesley Rogers, Senior Vice President of Education for K-12 districts, in growing Strategies 360’s education work. Lesley leads the firm’s practice on helping public schools improve communications to help pass school funding measures, while Chris will focus on the advocacy sector. Craig Kanaya, Communications Director, and Kahliah Laney, Communications Manager, round out the S360 “Ed Team,” adding their deep experience in the education field and strategic communications.

With 20 offices in 12 Western states and Washington, D.C., Strategies 360 is the leading public affairs, communications, research, and marketing firm in the west. The firm also owns and operates its own in-house creative design and marketing practice, The Hilt.
