Grifynn Clay has joined Strategies 360 as Director of Government Relations, bringing over a decade of experience including leading U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell’s reelection campaign.

Olympia, WA – Former U.S. Senatorial Campaign Manager for Maria Cantwell, Grifynn Clay, has joined Strategies 360 to lead advocacy and strategic engagement efforts for the firm’s clients in Washington State. As the Director of Government Relations, Grifynn advances client’s public policy priorities across state, local and tribal government landscapes, with a focus on representing client issues in the Olympia Capital.

Grifynn brings expertise in political strategy, stakeholder engagement, coalition building, government relations, and campaign execution developed through years of work across the public, private, and political sectors. He is particularly passionate about advancing policy that supports Washington’s innovation in the tech, aerospace, and energy industries as well as increasing the state’s supply of affordable housing.

Prior to joining S360, Grifynn served as the Campaign Manager for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell’s re-election campaign, where he oversaw the campaign strategy, designed the campaign’s media plan, and owned the campaign’s relationships with labor and local political organizations. Grifynn started his career at the local government level, serving as a legislative aide to Spokane City Councilmember Lori Kinnear, and on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, where he organized volunteer and union support in Northeastern Ohio.

In his career Grifynn, has also held roles in tech and philanthropy, including local startup Auth0, and Treehouse, where he advanced social impact initiatives and raised funds to support for youth in foster care. His experiences in the private sector provide Grifynn with unique insights into business and non-profit operations, including strategic partnerships, sales, and leadership management.

Grifynn holds both a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Gonzaga University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
