In her role as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Mari combines her eye for technical detail with big picture thinking to support Strategies 360’s vision for sustainable growth and organizational success. Mari’s dual role supports the internal structure of the firm, while engaging with clients as an advisor bringing deep leadership and advocacy experience.

Mari came to S360 following fourteen years of service with STEP2 – a non-profit that supports women in addiction recovery and their children. As the CEO, Mari designed and implemented the organization’s strategic plan with a 30-person staff. This includes responsibility for the financial health of the organization, staff and board management, contract negotiations, and legislative advocacy on behalf of interests related to Nevada’s non-profit community, health and human services, drug policy and other related issues that impacted STEP2’s community and families. She brought empathetic, thoughtful, clear-minded, and steady leadership to the organization – first as the CFO/COO, then as CEO – fostering a strong organizational culture that ensured those who relied on their services had a safe and successful journey to recovery.

Before engaging in non-profit service, Mari spent years working in the corporate world and deeply understands business operations. For over a decade, she was Vice President and Certified Business Valuation Analyst at a real estate valuation firm. She began her career as an accountant with Deloitte LLP. Mari holds a Business Management degree from University of Nevada, Reno, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Born and raised in Sitka, Alaska, Mari loves to travel and explore new places. She moved to Reno for college and continues her adventures. She made a pact with herself 10 years ago that she would leave the country every year and visit a place she hasn’t been before. To date, her travels have taken her to over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Central America. In addition to traveling, she enjoys reading, learning to golf and spending quality time with family and friends.
