Tim has just relocated to New Mexico after five years directing Strategies 360’s Portland office. A strategic communications and government affairs expert with a wealth of experience in health care, energy and the environment, Tim has established a strong record of success achieving market and policy solutions across the West.
In 2018, Tim served as general consultant to the successful Yes for Health Care ballot measure campaign to protect Medicaid funding in Oregon. He oversaw a team of campaign consultants and led a coalition of hospital executives, health plans, health care providers and public employee unions to raise $4 million and win with 62 percent of the vote on election day.
Previously, he served as a senior advisor and Communications Director for Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber, where he led a proactive communications team in support of successful education, healthcare and public safety legislation. He forged strong working relationships with local and national media, including The New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, NPR and Rolling Stone.
As Western Representative for the American Wind Energy Association and as Government Affairs and Communications Director for Pacific Ethanol, Tim worked to expand markets for renewable energy producers across the west. In places as different as Pinedale, Wyoming and Portland Oregon, Tim has built diverse coalitions of business, civic and environmental groups. He created Clean Fuels Work, a coalition of business leaders in Oregon that successfully shifted the legislative debate around renewable fuels, and he has also worked for the Trust for Public Land and The Nature Conservancy. Tim has wide-ranging experience directing and advising multiple successful ballot measures and legislative campaigns.
He lives in Dixon, New Mexico with his wife, Kate. They have three grown children. Tim is a graduate of Carleton College with a degree in History.
