Sierra brings nearly 2 decades of public, private and non-profit policy, communication and political experience to S360. She has worked in transportation, land use, maritime, health care, environmental and community-based initiatives providing public affairs, government relations, strategic planning, message development and crisis communications.
Before joining S360, Sierra ran the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce, a neighborhood chamber representing more than 400 businesses, organizations and individuals and successfully advocated for members on a range of tax, public infrastructure, business development and land use issues.
Prior to the CHCC, she worked in the private sector, where she launched her own public affairs firm after running a practice in a Seattle-based PR firm. In both roles, she managed a number of campaigns for private, public and non-profit clients at the local, regional and state level. She created and implemented strategies to pass local and state legislation, improve community engagement, influence infrastructure projects, and secure funding for public agencies. She developed messaging, led media trainings and lobbied directly on behalf of clients.
She has worked for a number of public agencies such as Sound Transit, City of Seattle and King County, as communications, external relations, and policy staff for departments and elected officials.
She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Washington and lives in West Seattle with her son.
