Sara Kennedy
Communications Manager, California
As the Communications Manager in California, Sara is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies and tactics for clients. Working across a diverse range of industries at the intersection of business, education, and public policy, Sara supports both the S360 California Education and the S360 San Diego team.
Before joining S360, Sara was the Deputy Director of the House Majority Project, the Colorado House of Representative’s caucus program for the 2022 election cycle. In this role, she supported all 65 house races across Colorado, with a primary focus on 20 of the most competitive races in the state. Sara created comprehensive communications efforts through mail and digital programs, and her work resulted in a historic Democratic supermajority of 46 seats in the Colorado House of Representatives.
Sara began her career as the Communications Director for State Senator Chris Hansen in Denver, CO. She managed internal and external communications efforts surrounding technical fiscal and environmental policy. Sara advised Senator Hansen in committee meetings and on the Senate floor. She also built out the senator’s communications channels to create a stream of communication to his constituents.
Sara holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism and Media Communications from Colorado State University. While earning her undergraduate degree, she interned for Strategies 360, Colorado as a Legislative Communications Intern.
Originally from San Diego, Sara is excited to serve the community that raised her. In her free time, Sara can be found coaching high school beach volleyball, discovering new places, or enjoying a new book with her cat, Hattie.
