Lauren is an experienced relationship manager with a strong history in education, legislative and policy issues. As the State Government Relations Director, she brings her knowledge of legislative, governmental and and non-profit organizations to state government relations work. This includes lobbying, strategic communications, and public policy. Lauren is a strategic thinker who helps clients navigate the complex legislative environment to achieve their state policy objectives.
Prior to joining Strategies 360, Lauren was the State Relations Manager for the Education Commission of the States. There she focused on cultivating relationships with education policy stakeholders and key state policy leaders to advance their education goals. Lauren has a long history supporting educational access in Colorado. She has worked with universities and the state’s Department of Higher Education as a pre-collegiate counselor and college counselor working with first generation, low-income students. Lauren began her career working for Colorado Legislative Council Staff, the non-partisan research staff for the General Assembly.
A Colorado native, Lauren was born and raised in the San Luis Valley. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business management from Colorado State University – Pueblo, and her Master’s Degree in Education and Human Resources Studies from Colorado State University. Lauren lives in Lakewood, Colorado with her husband, Julian and two children, Jaylene and Isaiah.
