Julie Hart

Vice President of Government Relations

Julie leads the government relations practice in Idaho, where she seeks to position clients as industry authorities with elected officials. A veteran lobbyist and public relations professional, Julie has created powerful and synergistic coalitions to ensure successful outcomes for mutually identified policy goals. She has deep knowledge in tax policy, insurance, transportation, school security, medical licensure, gaming, and public utilities. Her strategic approach results in creative solutions, bringing clients closer to revenue and policy goals.

Prior to joining S360, Julie was the Vice President of Love Communications, LLC. There she built robust networks that drove positive brand awareness for the firm while connecting businesses and non-profits to each other, and elected officials, to secure her clients’ policy goals. In her previous position as Public Policy Director for Westerberg & Associates, Julie provided public relations, strategic communications, government affairs, business development, and direct lobbying services on behalf of her clients. Julie’s skill in building authentic networks among clients, business leaders and elected officials is evidenced in her 99.3% success rate in attempted policy changes.

Julie’s love for community can be seen in her work with the American Cancer Society, Catholic Charities of Idaho, and her early work as a Case Manager at the Women’s & Children’s Alliance. She is passionate about removing barriers for the next generation of female professionals and has served on the Board of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage, Women on Board 2020, and Go Lead Idaho. In her spare time, Julie volunteered to build a sustainable membership model for Idaho Women in Leadership (IWIL), a nonprofit dedicated to training and empowering women to run for elected office.

Julie earned her B.S. in Political Science and Social Science from Boise State University and her Executive Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University.
