Jeff brings nearly two decades of strategic communications experience in both the public and private sectors to S360, with expertise in public affairs, media relations, strategic counsel, government relations, message development, executive speech writing, and crisis communications.
Most recently, Jeff served as the head of communications for the City of Seattle. He served as chief spokesperson and speechwriter in the Mayor’s Office, and drove media and communications strategy across the executive branch.
At Microsoft, Jeff was senior PR manager for public policy, where he developed and successfully implemented Microsoft’s media and communications strategy for Washington state public policy priorities. He also wrote materials on behalf of the company’s general counsel and executive vice president, and managed the communications response on emergent issues.
Jeff served nearly a decade in the Washington state Senate as staff for the Democratic Caucus, including as deputy chief of staff and as communications director, where he led the development, coordination and implementation of media and communications strategies for individual lawmakers and the caucus as a whole. He was also a government affairs manager at the Washington Restaurant Association, and began his career writing constituent responses in the office of U.S. Congressman Adam Smith.
A graduate of the Evergreen State College, Jeff lives in Portland with his wife and two young children.
