Emma Bliesener
Director of Government Relations, Colorado
With a lifelong passion for politics and advocacy, Emma brings an array of public policy experiences to the S360 Colorado team. As the Director of Government Relations, Emma is responsible for creating and executing lobbying and political strategy to elected leaders, agency staff and government officials to advance clients’ policy priorities. She manages grasstops and grassroots outreach, connecting partner organizations, community members, elected officials and media – all while developing and maintaining lasting relationships.
Prior to joining S360, Emma worked as Senior Advocacy Associate for Siegel Public Affairs. There, she specialized in environmental justice policies, workers’ compensation, workers’ rights and wage and hour law. She has deep knowledge and relationships in the non-profit sector, including immigration and human rights advocacy groups and with labor unions. Emma’s expertise in coalition building to effectively engage in the legislative process, building and executing large scale field campaigns, and forming strategic alliances bolsters the impact of the political engagement strategies she designs for clients.
Emma earned her degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Human Services with a concentration in High-Risk Youth from Metropolitan State University of Denver. While a student, Emma formed and volunteered with several activism organizations and networks within the community. She also founded and served as co-chair of Padres y Jóvenes Unidos Action Fund – leading their extensive voter engagement work, supervising ballot initiative signature participation, organizing students and their families and working on general policy. Emma serves on the Board of Directors for Colorado People’s Action.
With Colorado being Emma’s lifelong home, she believes that the mix of urban and natural settings offer the perfect combination of opportunity and growth for herself and clients.
