Coletrane Klein
Legislative Director, Sacramento
Coletrane Klein is the Legislative Director in Strategies 360’s Sacramento office, where he brings his public policy experience to serve clients across California. To aid strategy for client’s policy priorities, Cole delivers clear and timely tracking of legislative actions, informative statewide reports, and detailed policy. Cole also monitors hearings and provides various supportive tasks for the diverse base of Strategies 360 clients. Clients can expect a strong analytical thinker with negotiation and coalition building skills in Cole, along with great organization around complex projects for legislative development.
Prior to joining S360, Cole dedicated the past five years to pursue various roles in public policy. Most recently he reported to the VP of External Affairs for United Health Group Services, where Cole developed strong skills in policy tracking and reporting on behalf of a large health care organization. His private experience also includes time with Platinum Advisors where he drafted legislative position letters and monitored committee hearings for clients and the firm’s president.
In public service, Cole served CA Assemblymember Evan Low in his capitol office conducting policy research and legislative analysis. He also served in Assembly member Jim Cooper’s district office as a point of contact for constituents and a support for on-the-ground efforts for the Assembly member including outreach and constituent casework. Cole has been engaged in electoral politics for a decade as a campaign volunteer for CA Assembly candidates and as a charter delegate for the Young Democrats of Sacramento.
As a native to the City of Sacramento, Cole has always focused on civil engagement and community outreach. He is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento holding a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
