Casey Bender

Senior Vice President, Idaho

Casey brings her expertise and diverse background in media, politics, and business to help Strategies 360’s Idaho clients exceed their goals. She manages some of S360 Idaho’s largest accounts in education, healthcare, and natural resources, steering projects through research, creative development, and communications departments. She also produces compelling content for PR, marketing, and outreach campaigns and develops strategic and comprehensive communication plans for clients. She enthusiastically tackles the job of becoming knowledgeable about her client’s industry, area of responsibility, and organizational objectives.

Casey leads the S360 team that produced and manages the State Board of Education’s online resource for high school students planning for college and careers, Next Steps Idaho. She works closely with the Board to produce content and drive awareness for the website using traditional and social media, PR, and grassroots outreach strategies. Next Steps Idaho is recognized as the state’s primary source for information for students, families, and educators and is now being used in training for newly hired college and career counselors.

Casey also worked with the Idaho Nonprofit Center to produce Idaho’s statewide day of charitable giving, Idaho Gives. Over the course of S360’s engagement (4 years), Idaho Gives raised more than $3.5 million for more than 600 nonprofit causes across the state. Casey directed the branding, PR, and marketing efforts, including producing PSAs that garnered more than $100,000 annually in free air time during a statewide media campaign.

Previously, Casey worked as a development officer for a nonprofit organization dedicated to literacy for all. She also served as the campaign finance director for Congressman Walt Minnick and for Boise Mayor David Bieter.

Casey has served as a staffer in the Idaho Senate and has worked as an advisor on congressional, legislative, and local campaigns in Idaho since 2006. She has also worked for the largest media group in the Treasure Valley, where she coordinated large, cross-platform promotions between six radio stations and two television stations.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing in Idaho’s great outdoors, and watching football. Casey graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in journalism.
