Amy Vaught

Government Affairs Associate

As the Government Affairs Associate in Oregon, Amy wields her organizing skills to pull together key stakeholders to effectively build consensus on state policy.   Amy supports S360 clients most pressing government relations issues with strong relationship building, strategic guidance, and policy know-how. With expertise in housing, reproductive rights, and religious engagement, Amy guides clients through complex conversations to deliver legislation that serves all Oregonians.

Before joining Strategies 360, Amy served as chief of staff and chief policy advisor to State Senator Shemia Fagan. Here she focused on housing and judiciary policy. In this roll, she was instrumental in community engagement and passage of SB 608, the first-in the nation statewide rent stabilization and eviction protection policy. And Prior to working in the Capitol, Amy was a political organizer on the No on Measure 106 ballot measure campaign to protect abortion access in Oregon. Here Amy organized an interfaith prayer gathering to protect abortion rights in Oregon, drawing on local and national partners to bring a variety of faith leaders and underrepresented communities together in solidarity.

Amy holds a BA in History from Warner Pacific College in Portland, where she further studied human biology, drama, and English. When not working, you can find Amy analyzing Shakespeare, enjoying a local IPA, and working with her rescue Pitbull, Murphy
