Allison Magill

Vice President, California Education

Allison is a seasoned and solutions-oriented legal professional with a passion for driving positive change in the field of education. In her role as Vice President of Education, she combines strategic thinking with a profound understanding of educational systems, policy, and practice in order to design and implement solutions to address the evolving needs of educational institutions.

Prior to joining S360, Allison spent over a decade serving in key roles within the education sector. Her career spans various facets of the education sector including education law, charter school law, special education, governance, policy development, and advocacy. Most recently, she served as Senior Legal Counsel for the California Charter Schools Association. In addition to providing legal counsel to executive leadership and staff, she advised on local and statewide advocacy efforts related to charter school authorization, oversight, operations, funding, and renewal. Allison played a pivotal role in designing and implementing an innovative and collaborative structure for charter schools in Los Angeles to more effectively serve students with disabilities.

Allison has also served on two charter school governing boards. In these roles, she has worked with leadership and board members to expand enrollment, improve student achievement, and enhance community engagement.

Allison is a member of the California State Bar and holds a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, with a focus on education law. She received her B.A. in sociology, psychology, and childhood studies from Case Western Reserve University. Allison resides in San Clemente and enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time at the beach or on the mountain biking trails with her husband and two young sons.
