Alex brings a diverse array of government relations and public affairs experiences to his advocacy work at Strategies 360. As Director of Government Relations in Sacramento, Alex offers creative problem solving and articulates a clear vision for each of his clients’ policy needs.
Starting his career in public policy during his time in college, Alex interned for two summers in the California State Assembly and consulted on his first campaign while completing his sophomore year. He has provided public relations services and media outreach for political campaigns for Los Angeles Unified School District and California State Assembly, managed media relations for entertainment clients in Los Angeles, including press events for major motion pictures and major sporting events, and served as an external affairs consultant for the California State Fair/Cal Expo.
Prior to joining the Strategies 360 team, Alex handled policy research, political outreach, and supported lobbying efforts at KP Public Affairs in Sacramento. His experience includes research and analysis in a broad range of issue areas such as water, technology, energy, housing, and worker’s compensation.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, a Graduate Certificate in Public Management from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science in Law (MSL) degree from the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys training in Boxing and Muay Thai and playing Rugby with the McGeorge Ducks Rugby Club.
