Alex Dunn

Vice President of Research

Based in Denver, Alex leads research programs on behalf of clients in the public and private sectors. With a focus on the western states, Alex’s background includes everything from energy and conservation to education and gun safety, all with a focus on voter / constituent / customer engagement. His work combines innovative research methods with traditional practices in the field, with an emphasis on message development, branding, targeting, and building strategic communications plans.

Alex specializes in research that allows clients to create social and political change, having spent over eight years working for candidates, parties, and ballot measures both domestically and abroad. He has conducted extensive research into the ballot measure process, leveraging best practices in the field on behalf of mill and bond campaigns that have successfully funded schools, libraries, and cultural districts. And he was part of the teams that helped pass numerous groundbreaking ballot measures in Colorado, including a historic win for drug policy reform and a law ensuring end-of-life options for those with terminally ill conditions.

Alex graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a dual major in government and economics. If he’s not in the office, you can probably find him plotting his next alpine adventure.
