Jake Weigler
Director of Oregon Communications
As state communications director in our Oregon office, Jake Weigler brings innovative, smart approaches to public relations.
Jake joined Strategies 360 after a decade in politics, including roles in state government, campaigning and issue advocacy. Since returning to Oregon in 2006, Jake has established himself as one of the top emerging political strategists in the state. He managed the carefully calibrated 2010 reelection campaign of Senator Ron Wyden, and caught the attention of Oregon's chattering classes when he ran Steve Novick's upstart campaign for U.S. Senate. Novick was labeled the first major "YouTube Candidate" by the New York Times.
Jake previously worked in the research departments of the Democratic National Committee and Media Matters for America. He also provided communications expertise to former Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski and Attorney General Hardy Myers, as well as Superintendent of Public Instruction Susan Castillo.
When he isn't working, Jake enjoys the amazing outdoor opportunities in the Pacific Northwest and rooting for the Oregon Ducks and Portland Trailblazers. Jake grew up in Portland, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
A graduate of New York University, Jake also has a master's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin.
