Strategies 360 is expanding its communications practice with the addition of longtime journalist Paul Queary.
As vice president of communications, Paul brings the experience of a 20-year career with The Associated Press, the nation's largest news agency. Paul worked in the news cooperative's bureaus in Oregon, Alaska and Washington and was the statehouse correspondent in Olympia and Juneau. He will focus on strengthening S360 clients' communications, providing high quality services and offering strong tactical and strategic messaging counsel.
"We're delighted Paul has become part of our growing communications practice and expertise," said Ron Dotzauer, CEO and co-founder of S360. "His talent and experience are a great addition for the firm and all of our clients."
Most recently, Paul was the AP's news editor for Washington state and leader of its national coverage of education. He was also tapped to cover big national stories including the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As a government and politics reporter in Washington and Alaska, he won recognition for his coverage of a variety of issues, including state taxation and spending, legal affairs and energy. Before returning to the Pacific Northwest, Paul was the AP's lead reporter on the 1995 bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City.
"Paul has a powerful combination of communications knowledge, reach and instincts. He will enable us to provide that expertise to our growing number of clients across the West," said Eric Sorenson, President and co-founder.
A native of Bend, Ore., Paul is a graduate of Carleton College.
