Senior Vice President, Eastern Washington Operations & Chief Legal Counsel
Katie brings deep Spokane roots and a diverse mix of experience in law, policy and politics to her job as Senior Vice President of Eastern Washington Operations.
Katie runs S360’s Spokane-based office, in addition to serving as the firm’s chief legal counsel.
Before joining S360, Katie worked for Senator Maria Cantwell. As Eastern Washington Director, Katie used her extensive knowledge of the region to guide Senator Cantwell to improbable wins in Spokane, Asotin and Whitman Counties in 2006. Later, as Legislative Counsel, Katie advised the Senator on issues including agriculture, Indian Affairs, homeland security, water and the environment. She went on to serve as a member of the Senator’s senior staff, running Cantwell’s state-wide outreach program.
From assisting a major corporation on key policy issues during the health care reform debate, to creating and executing a community relations strategy for an embattled Eastern Washington company, and acting as an advisor to a major municipality, Katie is sought after throughout Eastern Washington for her counsel on issues of all kinds.
Katie was a competitive flute player and band geek throughout high school and college, and enjoys music. During the summer, she enjoys spending time in the San Juan islands to commune with the orcas that have captivated her since childhood.
A third-generation Spokane native, Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gonzaga in three years. A Zag to the core, she never misses a game. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
