Ethan Berkowitz
Senior Vice President, Alaska Operations
As Senior Vice President in our Anchorage office, Ethan brings a distinguished background of work in the public and private sectors to S360. He focuses on expanding operations, providing high quality services and offering strong strategic counsel.
Most recently, Ethan was the 2010 Democratic nominee for Alaska Governor. Ethan also served ten years in the Alaska House of Representatives, including eight years as minority leader. He won national recognition for his distinguished service to Alaska, and championed many issues, including fiscal responsibility and energy policy. His focus on energy and infrastructure issues carried over to the private sector, where he has worked on renewable energy and broadband projects across Alaska.
An Alaska resident for more than 20 years, Ethan also founded an alternative energy firm, owns several restaurants and is the principal in a commercial real estate firm. His multifaceted background includes experience as an Assistant District Attorney, as well as delivering mail in Antarctica.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading, and cross country skiing. He lives in Anchorage with his wife and two children. The family likes to camp, hike and fish together.
A native of San Francisco, Ethan earned a B.A. from Harvard University a law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and a Master of Philosophy in Polar Studies from Cambridge University.
